Mainstreet U.S.A

Once you get through the gates you see the iconic Disneyland Railway and Mickey Mouse created with flowers, or a seasonal floral arrangement. After going under the train tracks and you enter the world of "Yester-Year" or better known as Mainstreet U.S.A. Mainstreet was designed to look like a midwest town from around the early 20th century. The land itself was heavily inspired by Walt Disney's own experiences growing up in Marceline, Missouri.

Walt's Apartment

Entrance

Above the firehouse in Town Square at Disneyland is Disney's personal apartment, fully furnished but off-limits to the public. Disney resided there so that he could quickly travel to and from The Walt Disney Company. A lamp is kept burning in the front window as a tribute to his memory, except at Christmas where a small tannenbaum replaces the lamp. It is largely decorated for both Halloween and Christmas.

What else is there?

Mainstreeet itself is the main hub of Disneyland that branches off and takes you into each of the other four original lands of the park. The only real attraction on Mainstreet, aside from horse drawn streetcars or automotive transportations, is Great Moments with Mr.Lincoln. The attraction itself is an animatronic theater show, so far from the likes of the dark rides and other attractions featured in the park. Mainstreet is more of a shopping street containing many stores and places to dine or grab and go foods.
