My name is Elizabeth Boyd-Israel. I am a student as well as an employee at SRJC. I am taking this course because I am interested in web design, graphic deesign and what the industry standards for each.
Some of the biggest challenges I had while making this webpage was making sure that I was paying attention to details. Though I would consider myself to be detail oriented already, I had to triple check my work on multiple occasions to make sure I hadn't added an extra period somewhere. An unforseen challenge was that I had to leave the state for a few weeks, and I didn't have the files I needed for my midterm. I had to have my boyfriend upload the files for me so that I could even complete my midterm! The biggest resource for me other than class was the W3 Schools webpage.
Prior to this project, I hardly knew anything about Quokka's other than the fact that they were cute. I found it really interesting to learna about the noises they make as well as their habitat. I had fun trying to find a font that I felt like matched their cute appearance. I also really enjoyed learning about style sheets. I had always heard about CSS and styles, but I had never understood how they worked - and now I do!
