About Me
Hello! My name is Kaitlin Kim. I'm a first generation college student who is a fifth year Chemistry major at Sonoma State University and am set to graduate this semester. At Santa Rosa Junior College, I'm working on receiving my Associate's degree in Business and a certificate in Marketing.
After graduating, I plan to attend graduate school in London to pursue a Master’s degree in either Marketing or Journalism.
After graduate school, I want to pursue a career in either sports marketing or sports journalism. I also want to create films (either writing or directing or both!) and become an author.
My initial dream was to become a forensic scientist, but in college, I realized that's not really what I wanted to do. Both of my jobs in college were centered towards marketing, and that was truly my awakening of what I wanted to do as a career. I've always been a creative person, so having a career that is centered around creativity and art is important to me.
My hobbies include hanging out with friends and family, playing the piano, reading, bullet journaling, writing, pilates, watching movies/television shows, and dancing.
When I'm not at home, you can usually find me in a cafe or a bookstore.
Midterm Experience
The most challenging part of completing the midterm was the validation process. It was frustrating having to switch back and forth between the validation site and my code editor whenever an error needed fixing. The process was even more tedious because the site that converted the ZIP file into a webpage often took a long time to load. Overall, I enjoy the class and it's been a lot of fun learning the different codes in order to make an efficient website. I'll definitely be using all of the concepts we've learned and will be learning when I make my own website in the near future.
Pandas
The reason why I chose to do my midterm project on the panda was because my mom was watching videos of pandas and I decided, why not? I've always loved pandas and so, I wanted to learn more about them as well. The decision came to be either pandas or penguins.
