Events Poster for Golden Gate Park October 2023
This project was to make a poster for October 2023 Fall events for Golden Gate Park. I started
trying to choose a typeface and layout. I did research at the Botanical Gardens in San Francisco.
I collected pictures, sketches, and rubbings of different things in the gardens and used that to make
potential layouts.
Next I started making collages of potential options that were abstract decor for posters. I took the
graphics from that and scanned them and worked towards finishing the poster.
Research
In starting research, I began with research at Golden Gate Park Botanical Gardens as well as some online research.
Ideation
I focused on looking at abstract options for the posters so I used collages to complete this goal for my ideation.
Iteration
In moving forward with the design, I struggled to find something I really felt worked and ended up scrapping the entire thing almost and return to brainstorming.
Final Poster
In doing the final the final changes. They were about décor of the poster and making sure it was readable and conveniently as well as eye catching.
