Overview

Japan has many attractions. It is home to great spots like Mount Fuji, The Tokyo Tower, The Kiyomizudera, and The Castles all around Japan. Mount Fuji is the tallest mountain in Japan. Mount Fuji is 12,388 ft tall. The Tokyo Tower is located in central Tokyo. It was built as a broadcasting tower. The Kiyomizudera was founded in 780 AD by the shogun Sakanoue no Tamuramaro. The Kiyomizudera is a school of Japanese Buddhism. There are around 200 castles. Some popular castles are Osaka, Odawara, Himeji, and the Takeda castle.

Mount Fuji is the tallest mountain in Japan. It rises 12,388 ft tall. It is located between the Yamanashi and Shizuoka prefectures. Mount Fuji is known around the world. It is featured in many art pieces like “The Great Wave off Shizuoka”,”Fine Wind, Clear Morning”, and “Thunderstorm Beneath the Summit”. Mount Fuji is an active volcano but it last erupted in 1707. There are also many Mount Fuji themed snacks.

Kiyomizudera

The Kiyomizudera was built in the year 780. It is located in Kyoto. It's a fun place to visit with shops on the way to the temple. The Kiyomizudera has many things to do like sightseeing with a good view of Kyoto. The Kiyomizudera is the temple of the god of health, love, and study.

The Castles

The castles in Japan are very dispersed across the whole country. The largest of these castles is the Himeji castle. It is the most visited castle of all of them. The Himeji castle is one of the three premier castles. The other two castles are the Matsumoto and the Kumamoto Castles. The Osaka castle is a very popular castle as well as a museum. The Nagoya castle is also very important because it was built by the shogun at that time Tokugawa Ieyasu.
