Ospreys are found in a variety of habitats near water, including coastal regions, large lakes, rivers, and wetlands. They prefer areas with abundant fish populations and often build their nests on tall structures such as dead trees, cliffs, power poles, and man-made platforms.
These birds are migratory and can travel great distances. North American ospreys migrate to South America in the winter, while European ospreys travel to Africa. The adaptability of ospreys has allowed them to thrive in diverse ecosystems across the globe.
