Final Project Proposal: Recipe Website

Summary

For my final project I plan on creating a rudimentary recipe website. The navigation bar will follow the user on the left hand side of the page. It will have four bottons showing different topics that will each open to several options when moused over. Each of these options will be links to 13 different webpages (might reduce this number). The left side will have another nav bar that will provide quick links to different parts of the page it's on. I will be using recipes from sources that give permission to copy (copyright law for recipes is weird). The other sections will have content from wikipedia and wikihow. All source will be properly cited and linked, of course.

Rectangles = html pages, triangles = menu options, diamonds = links

The website will be broken into four topics: Equipment, Techniques, Recipes, and About. Equipment will lead to pages about utensils, gadgets, and cookware. Techniques will lead to pages about food prep, over cookings, and stovetop cooking. Recipes will lead to pages organized by meal: breakfast, lunch, dinner, and desert. About will lead to pages on the developer and contact info.

Final design might vary

Each page will have a consistant interface on left hand side. The home page can be returned to by clicking on the logo on the top left. The inteface on the right will list each section on the page with corresponding links. The content of each page will be seperated by boxes each containing an article with title and picture.
